UNITY DEVELOPER
SENIOR

Responsibilities:

  • collaborate on new gameplay features such as AI behaviour, physics mechanics, user interface, animations, and so on
  • improve and optimize Unity-based projects
  • with elegant, creative, and often lateral solutions, assist in the resolving of novel or complex systems/gameplay engineering problems
  • develop and own every aspect of the game experience
  • iterate on gameplay features with designers, artists, and producers to ensure a great player experience
  • contribute high-quality code in a thoughtful and collaborative manner
  • mentor, support, and guide developers who are less experienced
  • build and manage documentation for features that have been implemented
  • participate in gameplay testing and provide feedback to help improve the game

Requirements:

  • at least 3 years of commercial experience working as a Unity Developer
  • deep understanding, experience, and knowledge of Unity, C#, and object-oriented programming throughout the entire 2D and 3D game development pipeline
  • highly proficient with programming, modern practices and frameworks, debugging, and designing solutions in the C# language
  • excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including demonstrated ability to use lateral thinking, as well as knowing when to request help from co-workers
  • experience developing Unity tools, extensions, and plug-ins
  • bringing a game from prototype through beta to wide production release
  • proficient knowledge of code versioning tools (e.g. GIT)
  • ability to work in a team and independently as required in an agile environment
  • ability to contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of game production and development
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • communicative English skills

Nice to have:

  • experience in mobile, game consoles and PC development
  • experience in multiplayer P2P architecture (Photon, Unity Networking, other)
